Dry Bridge Road rappresenta il primo CD da leader del ventiduenne Noah Preminger, sassofonista dalle indiscutibili doti strumentali e compositive. Un disco dalla vivace ricchezza ritmico-armonica, che prelude ad una ragguardevole carriera, se si considera l'autorevole piglio esecutivo nello spaziare tra free forms, atmosfere bop e cool.

Con qualche gustosa combinazione timbrica tra sax e chitarra, le dieci tracce rivelano una costruzione sonora mai adagiata su soluzioni monolitiche, in favore di un flusso quanto mai sfaccettato.

Rimangono comunque forti i rimandi stilistici ai maestri della tradizione sassofonistica del jazz, che rendono questo solista molto spigliato e dal facile eloquio, ma non ancora leader autentico data la giovane età.

Al suo fianco una ritmica di granitica propulsione e musicisti di altissimo livello quali Frank Kimbrough, Ben Monder, Ted Poor e John Hebert. Artisti in gran spolvero, per impreziosire il disco di tanta tecnica, intensità ed esperienza.
