Patty Ascher: Bossa, Jazz 'n' Samba
Inutile dire che il suo è un pop-jazz molto elegante in cui Roberto Menescal, in veste di chitarrista e supervisore del progetto, ha una parte importante. Il tutto rivela un notevole mestiere da parte degli esecutori, che sanno mettere in evidenza la bella voce della Ascher.
Fra le varie composizioni, spesso originali scritti dalla cantante con il pianista Marco Pontes, ce n'è una per lei molto importante: "How Much I Care" scritta in occasione dell'invito a partecipare al MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) Telethon di Jerry Lewis, un evento in diretta durato ventuno ore con l'intento di raccogliere fondi per la ricerca su questa malattia. E poi "The Summer Knows" di Michel Legrand, pianista e compositore francese con cui è stata in tour due volte in Brasile
Altri composizioni ben riuscite sono "Saudade" e le ultime due dell'album, eseguite in portoghese, "Talvez" e "Pela Manhã" resa ancor più elegante da un riuscito arrangiamento della sezione archi.
