Nel periodo di formazione a Parigi, coronato tra l'altro dal Master in Jazz e Musiche improvvisate nel 2011, Matteo Bortone ha allacciato salde relazioni con alcuni giovani musicisti francesi, ancora oggi importanti per i suoi principali lavori.
