Pancevo it is small town about ten miles north of Belgrade, the Serbian capital. It's best known for its petrochemical and fertilizer industries. Yet against all odds, the city has hosted a jazz festival for 20 years. In 2017 it ran from November 2nd to the 5th. With a careful organization it has grown annually to become one of the most significant festivals in region, combining outstanding artistry with a friendly atmosphere in a very good acoustically sound venue: the Kulturni Centar Culture Centre. I love jazz because it has allowed me to find my own voice.
I was first exposed to jazz as a child through my parents.
The best show I ever attended was Cassandra Wilson and Dianne Reeves. AMAZING!!!
The first jazz record I bought was Carmen Sings Monk.
My advice to new listeners is to listen with your heart and feel with your experiences.
