Saw Jimmy Amadie in Wildwood N.J. many years ago.He was an outstanding musician then so I can only imagine what he is like today. My only problem with Jimmy is he stole my girlfriend and married her to boot.I did forgive him and attended the very lovely wedding. He is an outstanding person-very kind, very giving.Give him my best.  I studied piano with jimmy in the late 60's as a college student. I commuted 1 night a week from NJ to Philly for 2 years because he is a rare individual. While I could have studied closer to school, I would not have find anyone who possessed his tremendous experience as a player and such a well thought out and organized teaching system.

While my own father was an instrumental music teacher and an excellent pianist in his own right, Jimmy opened my eyes to the world of modern harmony, which I used in my own piano playing. More importantly, his training enabled me to go further and it gave me confidence to branch out into big-band arranging.

I glad people, other than his students, have an opportunity to hear him playing again. I am forever in his debt as a musician and fellow teacher.

My dad has been teaching with Jimmy for years now at
Villanova University. For some reason he has taken a liking
to me and has told my dad that he wants to teach me. I'm 16
and I want to learn, but I'm nervous. If anyone reads this,
could you please send me your comments? thank
