Man this guy is cool. For 2 reasons: He is talented AND shares my name! Unfortunatley, I can't play the saxophone as well.

Six of One remains one of my favourites, in particular for the great sound achieved by recording in a church. However for a sheer sense of the excitement of collective inter play , and my discovery of 1999, Topography of the lungs is pretty amazing.

The only Parker recording I have is the live thing he did with Sainkho Namtchylak, Mars Song (Victo 042). It's amazing, although I must admit I have to be in a special mood to listen to it ... very raucous stuff for an un-electronicized duet of sax and voice!

I remember seeing and hearing Evan at the Little Theatre Club,London in 1971. I have alwayz likes his playing since hearing him on The Baptised Traveller with Tony Oxley.I suppose his music is about discovery and finding some kind of ecstatic state.
