Born in Edinburgh in 1985, Zack completed a BA degree (with distinction) in music performance at the University of The Highlands and Islands before gaining an MMus in Musicology at the University of Edinburgh. He is currently working towards a PhD in music within the Institute for Music in Human and Social Development (IMHSD -University of Edinburgh) which is based on the improvement of music listening experiences for cochlear implant users. As a performer, improviser and composer, Zack works extensively with saxophones, guitars and pianos to create interesting and engaging experimental music
