Yu-Chen Tseng, a versatile musician born in Taiwan and currently residing in New York, excels as a jazz pianist, classical violinist, composer, and arranger. Graduating from the National Taiwan University of Arts with a focus on classical violin and later from Queens College in New York with a specialization in jazz piano, Yu-Chen honed his craft under mentors such as Vincent Hsu, Luis Perdomo, Antonio Hart, David Berkman, Michael Mossman, Dennis Mackrel, and Jeb Patton. Recognized with the Roland Hanna Award during his academic journey, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with jazz legends Rufus Reid and George Coleman.
