Since I was five years old, I could already play poker and blackjack – the luck of growing up in an environment with gamblers. My parents used to host a monthly poker tournament in our living room and play with their closest friends and neighbours, and I was always the dealer. Twenty years later, I was already studying guitar courses and I knew I wanted to find a way to combine it with gambling. I will graduate soon and my aim is to become a guitar musician for an famous band and improve my skills and climb higher!

Nigel Patterson is a jazz pianist/composer based in Wellington,New Zealand. 2009 sees the release of his debut album "INVOCATION" on his own label NEXT. The album is called "INVOCATION" it has 10 original compositions in a classic piano,acoustic bass and drums format. Nigel takes influences from Duke Ellington,Thelonious Monk,Cecil Taylor,Herbie Nichols,Andrew Hill,McCoy Tyner,Mal Waldron and lots more. Its has a 60's soul jazz feel to it with a modern groove element.

Nick Granville is an expert guitarist, teacher and session musician who has worked with artists as diverse as Chris De Burgh, Ronan Keating, Delta Goodrem, Steve Smith, Mike Stern, Joey Defrancesco, Eric Marienthal, Kurt Elling and with the band on New Zealand's "Dancing with the Stars". Nick has his own groups that plays regularly including the major jazz festivals in NZ and is a founding member of the Wellington Jazz Orchestra. He has released four CD's as a band leader and has played on many, many records, film scores, TV programs and radio programs. He has taught and taken workshops at the New Zealand School of Music, Good time music academy, Musicworks stores, Christchurch Jazz school (CPIT), Otago University, Auckland University and at jazz festivals all around NZ

Chalie Kurtz has been singing since he was kid, Violin at 9, piano at 12, bass at 14, drums as well but singing took off at the age of 17. Taught by the master instructer himself and keen eye of international Singing teacher and Dr of the Voice Mark Hayden he found himself able to produce Opera, Jazz and pop almost at a flick of a switch. In 1994 he was comissioned by Time Out magazine to write a love homage calypso to Tony Blair he then appeared on the Big Breakfast with Chris Evans and Danni Minogue singing the song on the day of the leadership election. He has written for BBC Radio London, sung backing vocals for the British Movie Freebird and He has written with Steve Cornish from Digital Dog. He has sung all around the world (Canada, UK, Spain, France, New Zealand) at many major venues in front of large crowds and had a fantastic time laughing and singing along to some of the all time greats

Canadian composer and trumpeter, Dr. David Lisik teaches jazz composition, arranging and theory at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington. Dave’s diverse portfolio of compositions and arrangements includes 250+ works for jazz orchestra, small jazz groups, wind ensemble, orchestra, electro-acoustic combinations, chamber groups, and instrumental and vocal soloists. His Dave Lisik Orchestra featuring Tim Hagans released a debut CD in early 2010 entitled Coming Through Slaughter inspired by the novel of the same name by Canadian author Michael Ondaatje, based on the legend of early jazz cornet player, Buddy Bolden
