Oliver Lake: Justice

Read "Justice" reviewed by Alberto Bazzurro

Debuts from a couple of drummers are also featured--Anthony Fung and Swizerland's Florian Arbenz. Cornetist Kirk Knuffke's new Gravity Without Airs should be headed for much praise. ...

An extended piece (actually they all are) from Charles Mingus' The Lost Album From Ronnie Scott's is a definite highlight this week, as is the new release from bassist Luke Stewart and sitarist Jarvis Earnshaw. Lumbering Giant

Featuring the music of Sonic Liberation Front
Duration: 5:36

Filmed at Philadelphia’s Commodore John Barry Arts and Cultural Center, this trippy, black-and-white music video paints a surrealistic vision and marks fine artist John Hubbard’s directorial debut. This multilayered, textural video highlights the intensity of the musicians and echoes their performance as they create a musical landscape ruined by the giant—a world that time has left behind.
