Ryan Snow is a trombonist, improviser, composer and teacher living in Charlottesville, VA. After graduating from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music in 2005 with degrees in Jazz Studies and Politics, Ryan moved to Brooklyn, NY to continue his musical studies as part of NYC's vibrant improvised music community. Between 2005-2015 he performed as a leader and sideman in wide range of musical projects centered around free improvisation and avant-garde jazz. From 2008- 2011, Ryan produced an improvised music series in his East Williamsburg basement, presenting over 100 performances in a unique physical setting and community-generative context
