Rosario Giuliani

Winner in 1996 of the prize named after Massimo Urbani and the following year of the “Europe Jazz Contest”, awarded to him in Belgium as best soloist and best group; in 2000 he won the “Top Jazz” in the new talent category and in 2010 as the best saxophonist of the year, ranking first in the annual referendum of the specialized magazine Musica Jazz. He also won the Jazz It Awards in 2010 and 2013 as the best alto saxophone. Many and prestigious are his collaborations in the jazz field, where he had the opportunity to support musicians of absolute value such as Charlie HADEN, Gonzalo RUBALCABA, Phil WOODS, Enrico PIERANUNZI, Enrico RAVA, Paolo DAMIANI, Franco D’ANDREA, Martial SOLAL, Jeff “Tain” WATTS, Mark TURNER, Kenny WHEELER, Bob MINTZER, Joe LOCKE, Joe LA BARBERA, Joe LOCKE, John PATITUCCI, Cedar WALTON, Cameron BROWN, Biréli LAGRENE, Philip CATHERINE, Roberto GATTO, Sylvain LUC, Donald HARRISON, Marc JOHNSON, Joey BARON, Guy BARKER, Jean-Michel PILC and Richard GALLIANO, Kurt ELLING… In September 2000 Rosario Giuliani signed an important contract with the prestigious French record company Dreyfus Jazz, with which he recorded six very successful albums: “Luggage” (April 2001), “Mr
