Rebecca McInroy

Rebecca McInroy began her career in radio, editing reel-to- reel tape while studying at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. She was fascinated with sound recording, editing and story telling and when she moved back to the states she started working for KSUI and WSUI in Iowa City, IA where her love for jazz and radio first combined. She co-produced a jazz program for KSUI called As Night Falls. One of the hosts of the program was the late Frank Conroy who would share stories of jamming with Charles Mingus and other jazz legends while on the air. She landed in Austin, Texas in 2004 where she started working for KUT Radio while pursuing a graduate degree in Media Studies at the University of Texas
