I have been active in Jazz since '75. I've had the good fortune to play with many greats, some of which include Sonny Stitt, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Lew Tabackin, John Handy, Bobby Hutcherson, Bill Henderson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Mark Murphy, Woody Shaw, Emily Remler, Milt Jackson, Eddie Harris, and many others. I also spent 9 years touring the world with The Robert Cray Band, winning two Grammy awards in the process. Television appearances include The Tonight Show with both Carson and Leno, The Today Show, Arsenio Hall Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, and numerous television appearances around the world. I am currently involved in producing and performing in 'East Meets West Meets East', a roughly quarterly concert series held at Jimmy Mak's in Portland, wherein an internationally renowned artist is invited to play a one-night show with myself and my NYC rhythm section, consisting of the world-renowned bass and drums team of Essiet Okon Essiet and Sylvia Cuenca
