Mothguts

Mothguts is an avant garde/grindcore/jazz type band from NJ and Brooklyn. Formed in 2005, Mothguts is a a quartet featuring Anthony Ware - alto sax, Ben Ross - drums, Mike Noordzy - bass, and Chris Welcome - guitar. They've toured much of the US and have self released 4 cd's (including a christmas album), released a split 12 inch vinyl on kitchen dweller records (U.K), and have two new cd's out, 08854 with guest trumpeter Herb Robertson (tigerasylum records) and Mothguts 3 (thor's rubber hammer). They're influences include Last Exit, Black Sabbath, Anthony Braxton, Painkiller, Naked City, Derek Bailey, Pantera, Alice in Chains, the Velvet Underground etc.
