Born Cheverly, Maryland and raised in New York City. Studied saxophone with Billy Kerr in New York, then later at New England Conservatory with Joe Allard. Also studied arranging and composition at New England Conservatory with Jaki Byard, William Thomas McKinley and others. Education: BA, New England Conservatory 1982 MA, New England Conservatory 1984 JD, Boston College Law School, 1989 Presently practicing law in upstate New York, but still playing Jazz. Just released debut CD "Erratica" on John Esposito's Sunjump Records label, featuring John Esposito (piano), Ira Coleman (bass), and Peter O'Brien (drums).
