Mike Delceg Flute, Soprano Sax, Baritone Sax Mike Delceg grew up in the New York City region and saw many of the greats like Coltrane and Monk in places like Birdland and the Village Vanguard. While attending Rutgers University he played in various jazz and rock groups and participated in research for the Institute of Jazz Studies housed there. In his playing he tries to carry on a bit of that tradition. In New Zealand Mike has played for with Chris Fox's New Horizons band in Wellington and at national festivals with that big band and various small groups before moving to Nelson. Moving to Nelson Mike played for many years with the Nelson Jazz Club Big Band and various small groups
