Raices Jazz Orchestra

South Florida is the birthplace of a new musical project that is about to turn some heads and bend some ears, as the beginnings of the Raices Jazz Orchestra (RJO) is about to erupt onto the musical scene. The diverse group of accomplished musicians, many from the Miami area, is a collection of talent representing all styles, genres, instrumentation, and repertoire from Latin America. The first cut of their album in production combines the forces of Dr. Pablo Gil and Tony Succar performing “Eye Of The Hurricane,” co-arranged by the two. The crossover powerhouse mixes youth-infused Latin big band with layers of freshly diverse percussive punches in a unique blend of tight, might, and right! Category “off the charts!”
