Gospel Vocalist & Recording Artist My dad loved music and had it playing in the house all the time when he was home. It was a happy time. Many of the songs I know now, I learned before I was 8 years old listening to my father's records. Two of Dad's closest friends were musical greats George Shearing and Les Brown (The Band Of Renown). They often stayed in our house when I was growing up. When I was six, the Mary Kaye Trio sang live in my father's living room. This inspired me so much I knew right then I wanted to be a singer. My first professional singing job didn't come til I was 20 years old, when I was hired by the great Jazz guitarist Jerry Hahn to be the vocalist with his 6 piece band
