JOHN KORBEL As a singer and songwriter, John Korbel has developed his craft through a diversity of musical experiences. He has performed in venues from small coffee houses to large nightclubs, and showrooms. He has opened shows for a wide variety of major acts including Jay Leno, Blood Sweat and Tears, The Hooters, and Asleep at the Wheel. And he has been a finalist in songwriting competitions in the US and overseas. John began his musical career in the Philadelphia area, making recordings with some musician friends. These demos came to the attention of Philadelphia radio station WMMR, which included John's composition "Don't You Love to Play" on an all Philadelphia compilation album
