John Damberg is a master vibist, marimbist, percussionist, composer, and educator who has enjoyed a successful career in music spanning 35 years. John currently resides in Anchorage, AK where he is the leader of the John Damberg Latin Jazz Quintet, a member of the Jo Ma La Jazz Ensemble, the Instructor of Percussion at the University of Alaska Anchorage, the President and founder of the Alaska Jazz Workshop, a 501 (c) (3) community service organization, which promotes appreciation for jazz through performance and educational classes. John is an activer performer on the Alaska and Pacific Northwest music scenes
