Jennifer Wharton is a low brass specialist based in New York City. Though getting her start classically, Jen has deep roots in jazz, commercial, chamber and Broadway music. She won’t stop until she has conquered the world! These days, Jennifer can be found leading her trombone-forward ensemble, Bonegasm, and performing in Paradise Square but has also held positions at West Side Story, King Kong, Beautiful, The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Jekyll and Hyde, Scandalous, Wonderland, 9 to 5 and Curtains, as well as performing as a substitute in over a dozen other Broadway productions

NATE MAYLAND has recently performed with The Maria Schneider Orchestra, Natalie Merchant, and Chris Thile, and Jennifer Wharton's star-studded BONEGASM - a jazz trombone quartet featuring the writing of Jim McNeely, Renee Rosnes, John Fedchock, Alan Ferber and more. The groups most recent album, "Grit & Grace" was released in 2023 and has received high praise from listeners and reviewers.
Nate composes for his own group The Wishbone Project, BONEGASM, The Kat Gang Quartet, The Band of Bones, and others.
He has performed and toured with The Maria Schneider Orchestra, The Knights Orchestra, The International Contemporary Ensemble, and others. He has performed the Tomasi Trombone Concerto live on the radio with The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, and enjoys the NYC freelance classical world. He studied under the legendary Edward Kleinhammer, M. Dee Stewart, Scott Hartmann, Sam Burtis and David Baker.
