Jeff Hudgins

Jeff Hudgins may or may not be known for his work in the 90s with Boston's two supergroups Firepig and Debris, also Prelapse and their momentary residency with John Zorn. He also may or may not be known for his more recent work in New York with Collide Quartet, Leah Siegel, Freeters, Michael Evans and the Swirling Lotus Blossom Bandits Band, James Fei and Katie Elevitch. Formative years were spent with LPs by King Crimson, Miles Davis and Messiaen; studies were with the likes of Jimmy Giuffre, Joe Maneri and Ran Blake. His latest listening has included Miles Davis's Jack Johnson Sessions, Elliott Smith's new record, and the new recording of Brian Wilson's Smile; latest works include arrangements of Stravinsky and Giuffre
