Paweł Czarakcziew

Born:

Cellist, chamber musician, and educator, Paweł Czarakcziew made his stage debut at the age of six at the Kraków Philharmonic. Four years later, he performed as a soloist with the Academy of Music in Kraków orchestra under the baton of Stanisław Krawczyński at the Polish Embassy in Paris.

He is a recipient of scholarship from the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage. In 2022, he was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Junior Research Award, which allowed him to conduct research at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles under supervision of prof. Josh Kun.

Rupert Gillett

Rupert Gillett is a British cellist, bassist, composer and producer. He is an internationally respected jazz cello player and a specialist in many alternative cello techniques. Over the years, he has performed with numerous ensembles in a variety of genres, both on cello and double bass. He has played concerts and festivals all over the world as well as locations such as Buckingham Palace, the Orient Express and at the Paralympic Games. He has also performed many times on BBC Radio and television and worked extensively as a studio musician.

Rupert has worked with many renowned musicians and producers such as jazz legend Jacqui Dankwork MBE, Liam Watson (White Stripes) and Alison Moyet (Yazoo). He has performed for HRH Prince Phillip, Brad Pitt, Jude Law, Jeremy Clarkson, Orlando Bloom, Ray Davies, Charles Dance, Salmon Rushdie and many more.

Shirley Smart

Shirley Smart Shirley Smart has had a varied and unusual career. After a studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she performed with the LSO and gave a concert of trios with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma at the Barbican, and masterclass study in Paris with Janos Starker, in Switzerland, at the International Menuhin Academy, Gstaad and IMS Prussia Cove in Cornwall, she left the UK for Israel. Although she initially went for a year, Shirley became involved with a great many musical projects, and met many musicians and friends, and ended up staying for 10 years
