Jason McGuiness
Infused in LA's jazz scene, Jason was a regular at the Piano Bar & Blue Whale where LA's rising talent would come to celebrate the music they loved. It was here that Jason first met with prolific saxophonist Kamasi Washington. In 2014 Jason recorded with Kamasi on an EP called Masterpiece. The 3 track EP featured new arrangements of classic tracks from The Temptations and was dedicated to the songwriting/producing duo behind it, Norman Whitfield & Barret Strong.
In 2019 Jason released his debut album, Empyrean Tones, an exploration of cosmic jazz featuring some of the greatest musicians of our times: Phil Ranelin, Kamasi Washington, Keyon Harrold, Randal Fisher, Mark de Clive-Lowe, and more. The following year he released his sophomore album, Passages, together with frequent collaborator Matthew Little, along with Keyon Harrold, Camila George, Phil Ranelin, and others.

Tristan Voitcu is a New Jersey based Jazz Saxophonist currently attending Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where he is studying with Ralph Bowen. Tristan began studying the saxophone at age 14, with a wide variety of influences, including Gustav Holst, Sigurd Rascher, Eric Dolphy, Charles Mingus, and especially Ronnie Cuber. At age 16, he began studying with Saxophonist and Historian Paul Cohen, with whom he developed a love for contemporary, improvised, and avant-garde music. During Highschool, he attended the West Milford Jazz Academy, where he studied with Ronnie Cuber and Jim Saltzman. During his first semester at college, he performed the Philip Glass Concerto for Saxophone Quartet with the Scarlet Quartet and Rutgers Symphonic Winds. He auditioned and won the Rutgers Chamber music concert 5 times, both with the Scarlet Quartet, and with his Avant-Garde Duo. During his time at Mason Gross, he has also performed with the Rutgers Wind Ensemble, Rutgers Symphonic Winds, Rutgers Lab Band, Rutgers Jazz Ensemble, Mingus Ensemble, Avant Garde Ensemble, and the Jazz Afro-World Ensemble. He as studied with Abraham Burton, Robby Ameen, Victor Lewis, Anthony Branker, Conrad Herwig, Paul Cohen, Kraig Williams, Todd Nichols, and Ronnie Cuber. Today he is an active performer of popular music in north and central Jersey with the VTX Collective, the Rock in Soul Band, and the Cope Aesthetic. As a band leader he performs regularly at the Tavern on George Street and Friends Cafe. As a sideman, he is a regular member of the Justin Farquhar Jazz orchestra, taking the Baritone sax seat, and has performed with the Mathuin Smith Jazz Orchestra, Sam Wilson Quartet and Logan Bogdan Quartet. He also was a sideman on Hip Hop artist Doitall’s album “Alma”. His newest project and passion is the “Mingus Legacy Collective” co-led by drummer Logan Bogdan, a group of young musicians dedicated learning and authentically performing the music of Charles Mingus in a small ensemble setting.

Dr. Damani Philips is a native of Pontiac, MI, where he began playing at the age of 10. He currently serves as assistant professor of jazz studies and African-American studies at the University of Iowa, where he teaches applied jazz saxophone, directs jazz combos, and teaches courses in African-American music, jazz history, jazz theory and improvisation. Previously, Phillips was assistant professor of music (Jazz Studies) at Grinnell College, where he directed the jazz ensemble and taught jazz composition/arranging, jazz history, improvisation, musicianship and aural skills. Michigan native Stratøs is a saxophonist, composer, producer, and film photographer whose presence in the modern jazz scene is rapidly growing. His improvisational style is rooted heavily in the subtle melodicism of the cool jazz tradition and extends to the bold, complex nature of the electronic jazz scene. His compositions explore a combination of elements between jazz and other styles such as hip-hop, metal, electronica and classical. Stratøs is the three-time winner of the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award from 2019-2021. Additionally, he was awarded the ASCAP Foundation’s Johnny Mandel Prize as well as being selected as a National Sawdust New Works Commission Contest winner

SM Shahbaj (born : April 12, 2002) is an independent artist from Bangladesh. He is a hiphop, house, jazz, chillout beat creator. Shahbaj started by posting song covers on his YouTube channel. Few months later he think about create his music. And he start making beat music. Those provided by his videos sparked a new following for the artist. In July 2020 Shahbaj released his first single City Colours and later released his EP dark hiphop instrumental, Darkest Nightmare in August 2020. JAKSPIN is a Greek/Lebanese producer, singer and DJ born and raised in Cologne, Germany, where he started writing rhymes at the age of 12, deejaying at age 14. He embarked on his musical career as a DJ in Cologne's legendary underground soul music club called Kauri Keller. His first official release was a party break 12“ vinyl winning the Club Bangaz Worldwide competition. After remixing R&B songs for the label Da Source Records he finally metamorphosed into the artist JAKSPIN with a new sound ranging from lofi hip hop beats to vintage 70s Jazz and R&B grooves.
