George Walker Petit performs on guitar with both his trio and his larger group. In the studio he also plays bass, percussion, keyboards and sings. Petit composes and arranges for his live groups and in the studio for all instruments. Petit's groups have shared the stage with some jazz legends over the years...McCoy Tyner, Betty Carter, Joe Lovano, Joshua Redman, James Carter, John Scofield, Joe Henderson, George Mraz, Al Foster, Michael Ray, Hieroglyphics... The current trio includes long-time friend and drummer (15 years) Mark Dodge and bassist David Ambrosio. He has been recorded on many projects as a sideman and has recently finished his second, self-produced and engineered release as a composer/performer/leader
