Garot Michael has been a BMI affiliated artist, composer and publisher for nearly 20 years. A music interest begining in the early 80's, Garot Michael continued his growing interest in the trumpet and music throughout his highschool career and following graduation moved to NYC to take his first shot at the big time. In his short year in NYC Garot Michael was signed to the Hangman Records label, released 2 International singles, and founded Bifocal Publishing, a BMI affiliated music publishing company. In the coming years Garot Michael moved to Boston to work with long time acquaintance Ian D'Souza who was quickly becoming a powerful force in the pop music world as a producer. While interning with Ian and Karen D'Souza, Garot learned a great deal about the business of music, publishing and international licensing
