www.EdHrybykBass.com Ed Hrybyk is an upright and electric bassist, composer, arranger, and educator emerging from the Baltimore/DC area. Ed graduated from Baltimore School for the Arts in 2006 where he studied classical bass with Laura Ruas. He graduated from the University of the Arts in 2010 with an undergraduate degree in jazz bass performance. Ed was active in the Philadelphia music scene, performing with jazz notables such as, John Swana, Tony Micelli, and Sid Simmons. As an undergraduate Ed played in and arranged for a variety of ensembles– among them an original group under the direction of Trudy Pitts, an Electric Miles Davis band, the Soul Ensemble, and the university big band the UArts Z Band
