Eddie Reyes
Eddie Reyes is a long-time jazz guitarist who also specializes in flamenco guitar. Traveling often to Spain to study with the masters and eventually to record there, he now combines his love for jazz with a passion for the special world of flamenco. In addition, he has a strong affinity for the world of Afro- Cuban percussion, especially the captivating and mystical rhythms of Bata, a music that derives from sacred ceremonies. He composed and produced the world jazz CD, LOST WORLD, utilizing percussion instruments used in these sacred ceremonies, with a compositional sensibility derived from jazz and classical worlds along with a healthy dose of Flamenco inspiration
