*Catch Dan Barman with his new quartet every Monday evening beginning October 3rd as he pays tribute to the late saxophone great Michael Brecker. With some of the most talented young jazz musicians NYC has to offer at his side, each evening kicks off with a wide array of Jazz classics followed by two sets of music either written or previously recorded by Brecker. Mondays 8-11pm at The Counting Room, 44 Berry St. Williamsburg, Brooklyn. If you’re looking for Drummer, Bandleader, Educator Dan Barman, he can most likely be found performing at any of New York City’s most popular music venues. In the short time since his move from the west coast, he has become a regular fixture on the NYC music scene both as a live performer and studio musician, recording with such celebrated producers as six-time Grammy Award Winner “Commissioner” Gordon Williams (Santana, Lauryn Hill, Fugees) and Jeremy Sklarsky (Freelance Whales, Foreigner, Diane Birch)
