He began as a child to play piano as self-taught and at eleven he began musical studies, first with guitar and then with bass and double-bass, under the guidance of F. Petracchi. He got first-class degree, and then he perfected at Fiesole school, W. Stauffer Academy of Cremona and Chigiana of Siena.
