Carol Sokoloff is a Canadian jazz vocalist and songwriter, performing regularly in the Victoria, BC (Canada) region with the excellent jazz combo, Trio Espresso featuring Kenny Seidman, piano, Mike Cox, acoustic bass and Kelby McNayr, drums. Known for her warm vocals and an improvised approach to the standards, Carol Sokoloff is also a talented songwriter who is now creating 'New Standards' songs with the style and feel of the great American songbook. Carol had the good fortune to meet and get to know some of the great songwriters, specifically the Harold Arlen and his collaborator, lyricist Yip Harburg. Somehow some of their magic rubbed off!
