Billy Strings

Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, Billy Strings is a GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician and performer in the midst of a landmark year. One of the most compelling artists across all genres, Strings will release his highly anticipated new album, Renewal, September 24 via Rounder Records. Produced by Jonathan Wilson (Roger Waters, Father John Misty), the album further solidifies Strings’ position as a singular artist and reflects his diverse musical influences, incorporating elements of bluegrass, classic rock, metal, psychedelic music and more. Continuing to receive widespread acclaim, The Wall Street Journal praises Strings saying, “Billy Strings has clearly emerged as a premier guitar flatpicker of this era,” while Relix proclaims, “Strings’ exuberance speaks to the boundless, resourceful spirit of his music…beyond his technical mastery, it’s his authenticity that continues to animate his music and, in turn, the fans who are drawn to that music.” The release of Renewal follows Strings’ 2019 record, Home, which won Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards and led Strings to top Billboard’s 2020 year-end charts in both Bluegrass categories—Top Bluegrass Artists and Top Bluegrass Albums
