Ambient formed in 2005 when three talented and gifted musicians began performing for small dinner parties and social events in and around the city of Peoria, IL. Walt Herrod on keys, Andy Hendrix on bass and James Ware on drums. The sound of Ambient is soulful and jazzy…at times some say their sound is spiritual in a way. Ambient continued to gain a diverse following in Central Illinois over the next year, performing for music festivals and being the house band for Chef Leo’s Poetry Bistro in Peoria,… this talented trio even had the privilege in 2006 of being the opening band for legendary R&B artist Dionne Warwick
