Alex Wilcox

Spawned in 1993 from the plastic suburb of Plano, Texas comes Alex Wilcox. Since 2004 he’s blended Catholic hymns, Frusciante arpeggios, Hendrix feedback, Aphex programming, and Texan writ. 2004 guitar lessons began - John Frusciante, Tom Morello, Jimi Hendrix. Bands came later. Played at local bars and clubs in Dallas. His band, Toro Vega, extremely talented teenagers, ripped blues & funk-distortion against a wall of emo bands. Trouble at home, the death of his older brother, and a cancerous non-disclosed-human-affair led to his human spirit that followed him from to Austin.
