1224 Project

1224 Project is a London-based guitar-bass-drums trio that writes and performs electrifying, groove-fuelled contemporary jazz. Long-standing collaborators Dylan Kay, David Bouet and Leslee Booth have played together in various projects over the years, forming 1224 Project in 2008 as a vehicle for our original compositions. Our music is carefully crafted in regular rehearsals and features odd meters, occasional slide guitar and effects, 6-string bass and death- defying drumming. If you like artists like Medeski, Martin and Wood, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Bill Frisell or Wayne Krantz then we hope you’ll enjoy our take on music that grooves, with enough surprises to keep it interesting for everyone. We keep an open mind about style, our music falling somewhere amongst the categories of jazz, rock, fusion and funk
