Bartz | Imagineer
In 1987, I picked up a copy of this release on the Audion label in LP format. I thought, “Hmm, cool cover, good label, lotsa cool instruments listed.” When I put that LP on I was an immediate Bartz-head. The nearest guitarist-composer/ sound-smith I could compare Bartz to was Steve Hackett but Bartz goes way beyond Hackett in pulling sounds out of his guitar and embellishing it all in a dreamworld of swirling, warping, shifting, glistening imagery. This 1995 re-release, (w/ extra tracks), is space-music, space-rock, space-guitar, space-progressive, space-newage and yet it avoids all pitfalls of each and melds together the BEST of all worlds. I kid you not. THIS IS A MUST HAVE for fans of guitar, synth, and space music heads. Be aware that Bartz has now released 2 follow-up albums to continue the magic. These are highly recommended limited edition, signed releases! As of last month Bartz was down to a mere handful. You had better get yours now. Besides being a master musician, Bartz is a master sound engineer, new music instrument inventor, and one heck of an amazing visuals artist. I am so glad to have finally had this chance to thank him for all the superb music!! Highest of recommendations! Cyberhome: http://www.niia.net/~jdminc/
