RINA

RINA was born and raised in Saitama, Japan and is now based in New York City, USA. RINA holds a Degree from the Kunitachi College Of Music in Japan where she studied with pianist Makoto Ozone. After graduation, RINA took an audition for the Berklee College Of Music in Boston, USA and her talent and exceptional abilities were clearly noticed. She received a full-scholarship to attend the college in consequence. She then graduated in 2018. RINA placed second in the Ellis Marsalis International Jazz Piano Competition and also won the Nu Jazz Agency’s Chico & Lupe O’Farrill Award for Best Original Composition (2018)

He has been playing in a dozen Belgian bands as sideman and is now touring with Antoine Pierre URBEX, Alex Koo Quartet, Mik Maak, Steven Delannoye Brandhaard, Manu Hermia Freetet, Jazz Station Big Band, God Save The Swing, Marco Locurcio Group, Filippo Bianchini quintet and his own projects : his trio and his quintet

Mike Tomaro

Mike Tomaro has been the Director of the Jazz Studies Program at the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA since 1997. This saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator earned his B.S. degree in Music Education from Duquesne University and his M.A. degree in Saxophone Performance from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Prior to his appointment at Duquesne, he lived in the Washington, D.C. area for seventeen years as a member of the Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, a unit of the prestigious “Pershing’s Own” U.S. Army Band. While a member of this group, he served as its Enlisted Musical Director and performed for Presidents Reagan, Bush and Clinton as well as heads of state from around the world

Sasha Mashin

Sasha Mashin was born in 1976 in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1991 he joined the Kvadrat jazz-club where he met many jazz musicians of St. Petersburg. After studying for two months at the Musorgsky Music School, he decided to start his professional career as an artist and quit the school. From 1995 to 1998, Sasha was a permanent member of the quartet of saxophonist Igor Butman. In 1998, Sasha participated in the creation of MosGorTrio band and moved to Moscow where he also kept busy collaborating with some of Russia’s best jazz musicians. In 2005 Sasha Mashin participated in the educational program Open World Program USA in New York and played with such legends as Clark Terry, Kenny Barron and Jimmy Heath at the Blue Note Jazz Club. Since 2008 Sasha has invited many foreign musicians to perform along with his band all over Russia. Sasha Mashin performed with a long list of musicians such as Benny Golson, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Kenny Barron, Johnny Griffin, Lew Tabackin, Eddy Henderson, James Spaulding, Steve Slagle, Gary Smulyan, Larry Schneider, Mark Turner, Craig Handy, Donny McCazlin, Alex Sipiagin, JD Walter, Dhafer Youssef and many others.
