Chris Beck

Born into a musical family, Chris Beck, a native of Philadelphia has been exposed to an assortment of music genres. At a young age he acknowledged his strong desire for music and accepted his responsibility to continue in the legacy of his grandfather the late Elder Charles Beck. He was influenced by his high school teacher to continue in jazz drum studies. Mr. Beck then pursued a career in music, where at Temple University he earned a Bachelor of Music in percussion performance. While at Temple he developed a friendship with mentor Mr. Terell Stafford. Under Stafford's instruction, he began to transcribe and increased his listening of the master jazz drummers. He currently works with various artists such as, Tim Warfield, Terell Stafford, Orrin Evans, Duane Eubanks, Philadelphia legend Bootsie Barnes and Latin jazz pianist Elio Villafranca and a host of other musicians from both Philadelphia and New York.
