Scott Vicroy came to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln after a year of graduate studies at North Texas State to work as a jazz graduate assistant. That was 25 years ago and he never left. Since then Scott has had the opportunity to work in a wide range of musical settings as a freelance woodwind performer. His first gig after arriving in Lincoln was with the then Neo-Classic Jazz Orchestra. Many playing opportunities arose after that ranging from pit orchestras for touring broadway productions and symphony pops concerts in Omaha and Lincoln. Performances have included: Lou Rawls, Maroon 5, Johnny Mathis, Kenny Rogers, Wayne Newton, Arlo Guthrie, Ray Charles, Ben Vereen, Kevin Mahogony, Karrin Allyson, Temptations, Platters, Red Skelton, Bob Newhart, Marilyn Maye, Rosemary Clooney
