Angela T. Clark

Born: June 7, 1969

Performing in commercials since the age of 4, Angela was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina. A true Southern Belle, she has a dual degree in Theatre and Business from South Carolina State University. Her musical introduction began early under the influence of her parents love of jazz. She credits her style to a mixture of Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Lena Horne. Her education into the intricacies of jazz styling was honed under the direction of Dr. Alvin Fulton and the South Carolina State University Jazz Ensemble and had the unique introduction to Jazz greats like Frank Foster, Jimmy Heath, Oscar Peterson and Carmen McRae

James Alan Nowell

Born: October 30, 1956

I started performing early, singing with my sister accompanying on piano around age 4. I began the clarinet in school band around age 13 and added saxophone during my freshman year in college in 1974. After graduation I went on the road with a show band named The Spurrlows for about 4 years, left the road and got a public school teaching job. I taught for about a year before returning to the road with a contemporary Christian group called TRUTH. After leaving, I returned home, got married, and eventually moved to Lynchburg Va to work with Dr. Jerry Falwell at Thomas Road Baptist Church and the Liberty Broadcasting Network

Tish Oney

Dr. Tish Oney, international performing/recording artist, arranger, and composer currently tours as a symphony pops and big band soloist, jazz vocalist, and artist-in-residence. Oney has arranged several hundred pieces for jazz combo including hits from the Great American Songbook as well as her originals and is frequently commissioned to write, arrange, and perform unique concert presentations. Tish recently released her fifth major recording project featuring John Chiodini (guitar), Chuck Berghofer (bass) and Ray Brinker (drums). This album, The Best Part (on the Blujazz label) serves as a compilation of new original songs by contemporary jazz composers, including three never-before-heard songs co-written by jazz diva Peggy Lee

Sharon LaMotte

Born: November 30, 1957

Sharon LaMotte’s love affair with music and art has been a feature of her life from the beginning. Her total emersion in the world of jazz happened relatively late in life. She began to sing several years before meeting Bill Gerhardt and at his urging, started working professionally. She hascontinued to study with the great Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton in New York City. Her knack for choosing material that is perfectly suited to her is uncanny. Her set list includes unfamiliar, modern compositions, as well as standards ranging back to the 1920’s. Sharon’s delivery is highly personal and direct
