Jared Johnson is active as a professional freelance drummer/composer performing and recording extensively with regionally and nationally known artists. Jared has been a featured performer at Duet Jazz and the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. He appears regularly with the Mike Cameron Collective, Swunky Face Big Band, and The Tulsa Playboys. With his own group, Next of Kin, Jared performs his original work, "The Grapes of Wrath Project". Jared is a composer/arranger, clinician and adjudicator for various jazz camps, workshops and competitions. An elementary music specialist, Jared leads the World Music Drumming program at New Tech at Cherokee Elementary School in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma born and raised. Bobby started playing bass guitar when he was about 12yrs old after his mother Ruby Eaton (r.ip)bought him one for xmas. After playing in several local bands and night clubs at a early age in Tulsa Oklahoma along sides of Charlie Wilson, Dino Vice,Bobby Giles,Billy Bruner and others. He moved to Los angeles California with Mitchell Dooney Edwards" in the early 70's and played Bass with the likes of Natalie Cole,Ike and Tina,Bobby Womack,DJ Rogers and others. Earl Bostic

Born: April 25, 1913

Bostic's distinctive style, strong on the sax and heavy on the beat, was quite successful in the rhythm and blues market in the 1950s. One of the few jazz musicians of his generation with formal training, Bostic studied composition at Xavier University in New Orleans in the early 1930s, and then spent several years performing with territory bands in the Midwest as well as with Fate Marable, who led one of the last Mississippi riverboat bands. His reputation as a superb instrumentalist earned him an invitation to come to New York City, where he played with Hot Lips Page and Lionel Hampton
