Born in Lancaster, Lancashire, Pat started receiving formal drum lessons at age 7 (later studying piano and percussion). After having two enthusiastic local teachers, performing with many youth ensembles and semi-pro gigs and reaching the "Drummers' Alliance" National Finals, he won a scholarship to study with acclaimed teacher Dave Hassell. 2 years later he turned pro, performing and teaching whilst based in Manchester. Pat moved to London in late 2003 and continues to be a very active freelance player both live and in the studio. With an emphasis on groove and musicality, Pat is a very versatile musician who is comfortable in many idioms
