After earning three bachelors degrees and two masters degrees in music, Alex Kelly completed a doctorate in cello performance with a secondary area in composition from the University of Oregon. Alex has performed and composed for a variety of ensembles throughout the United States and Canada for the past fifteen years. He is known for his performances with Joan Jeanrenaud, the Dresher Ensemble, the CKW Trio, the Lizz Roman Dance Company, the Wichita Symphony, the Eugene Symphony, the Oregon Mozart Players, Hundredth Monkey, the Knotty Ensemble, the New Pickle Family Circus, Circo Zero, El Radio Fantastique, CKW Trio, the Cooke Quintet, and Pamela Z. Alex’s versatility is demonstrated in a variety of styles, which range Renaissance to Romantic, from avant-garde to rock
