As a teen gal dreaming that I’d be a rock star-fashion designer when I grew up, I never would have thought I would be a folk-jazz chanteuse. No relatives in either my German or Puerto-Rican side s of my families were musicians. I had a beautiful soprano 4-octaved voice but never had the inclination to play an instrument. Keith Franklin Jazz Keith Franklin is an exemplary, creative jazz pianist, having studied with Jackie Bayard, NYC, Olga Von Til of the Conservatory of Budapest, Kenny Barron ,composition with Dennis Sandole and Improvisation with Phil Woods at The Maynard Ferguson School of Jazz. He attained a B.A. in piano performance from Rutgers University. Toured in the U.S and opened for Blood Sweat and Tears,B.B. King, Iron Butterfly, and the Youngbloods. After his foray into rock and roll he returned to his jazz roots. Keith is a known entity at many New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey jazz clubs, The Rainbow Room, the Supper Club, The Philadelphia Art Museum , Ritz-Carlton, The Saltcreek Grille, The Witherspoon Grill, The Vault, Delta’s and Hopewell Valley Vineyards.
