Since arriving in New York City in 2004, pianist Jason Domnarski has been an active member of the downtown music scene, performing in several different venues with a variety of projects. Following his graduation from Skidmore College, where his self-directed trio was awarded a Downbeat Student Music Award, Domnarski completed his first studio recording, An Elephant’s Waltz. In support of the record, the trio made its New York City debut at the National Arts Club and has since performed throughout the city at several clubs, including the Blue Note, Jazz Standard and a weekly residency at Rockwood Music Hall. In addition to his trio, Domnarski is an in-demand sideman, performing regularly with Spielerfrau, a Brooklyn based rock band; Special Patrol, an instrumental rock/jazz group; and several other musicians and bands in the city
