Aris Chalin is an award-winning jazz pianist and keyboardist at Western Michigan University. He has performed with the renowned vocal jazz ensemble "Gold Company" at WMU since 2021. He has performed and played alongside world-class jazz musicians, such as Chris Potter, Dave Holland, säje, Christian McBride, Johnaye Kendrick, Jesus Molina, and the Emmet Cohen Trio. Aris is based in Kalamazoo MI, and travels around Michigan to perform in different venues around the area. He has performed at venues such as the NAMM 2023 show, Hill Auditorium, Blue LLama Jazz Club, Cliff Bells, and the North American International Auto Show COBO Center in Detroit.

Michigan native Stratøs is a saxophonist, composer, producer, and film photographer whose presence in the modern jazz scene is rapidly growing. His improvisational style is rooted heavily in the subtle melodicism of the cool jazz tradition and extends to the bold, complex nature of the electronic jazz scene. His compositions explore a combination of elements between jazz and other styles such as hip-hop, metal, electronica and classical. Stratøs is the three-time winner of the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award from 2019-2021. Additionally, he was awarded the ASCAP Foundation’s Johnny Mandel Prize as well as being selected as a National Sawdust New Works Commission Contest winner

Iowa native, Kyle James, is a budding young saxophonist, composer, producer, audio engineer and soon to be graduate of Western Michigan University with degrees in Jazz Studies and Media Technology. Kyle has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists like Carl Allen, David Binney, John Patitucci and Billy Hart as well as study with Damani Phillips, Rich Perry, and Andrew Rathbun. His playing style is rooted in the melodicism of cool jazz while exploring the vigor and complexity of the modern scene in his rhythmic sensibility. The compositions on "Datum" are fresh and honest. His writing has a unique sensitivity provided by his wide range of influences and exacting harmonic schemes.

Lushh is an electronic jazz band based out of Kalamazoo, MI. The band has been together since late 2015, after meeting through the Jazz Studies program at Western Michigan University. While merging their jazz roots with more modern and contemporary styles, Lushh draws their influences from the likes of Kneebody, Donny McCaslin, Hiatus Kaiyote and much more. Lushh frequently performs around the Midwest, particularly in Michigan, collaborating with various musicians and artists. Saxophonist, Multi-Instrumentalist and Music Educator, Sam Pilnick received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Jazz Studies at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY, studying under the tutelage of Christopher Creviston, Robert Young, Bret Zvacek, and Marsha Baxter, as well as other professors and talented musicians.
