Live at Newport, 1995

Featuring the music of Thomas Chapin Trio
Duration: 2:22

Thomas Chapin Trio at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1995. Thomas considered this appearance a great highlight full of promise. The Trio, with Mario Pavone and Michael Sarin, opened the show and wowed the audience with their originality. Watch Thomas' hommage to his hero Rahsaan Roland Kirk. Little known behind-the-scene credit goes to John Phillips of Festival Productions who fully supported Thomas' growth and quietly guided him onto the festival stages in NY and the world, and who has given us permission use this clip.
