Andrew Greene, 26, is the leading young authority on orchestral ragtime and silent film accompaniment in the United States. He is the Founder, Conductor, and Director of the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, "the premier American Ragtime ensemble" as hailed by the Washington Post, dedicated to preserving and performing America's music: Ragtime. Mr. Greene founded the orchestra while a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park, hoping to draw attention to this neglected but historically-important music.
