Shawn Kelley was raised in Syracuse, New York and is a graduate of City College of New York where he studied jazz under the tutelage of Ron Carter, John Lewis, Gil Evans, and Sonny Igoe. After years of playing in the New York jazz scene, Shawn relocated to the warmer climates of Asia, where he has been in high demand since 1993. Shawn's love and command of all kinds of music has led him to work with a diverse range of artists. Recently Shawn played with jazz living legend, James Moody at a special concert for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, and had the honor of playing together with H.M
